Teamsters Local 391 is proud to welcome IBT General Secretary Treasurer Ken Hall to the Raleigh Union Hall on Saturday, January 17 for the swearing-in ceremony of our Officers and Business Agents. All members are encouraged to attend this meeting which begins at 10AM.
"It is an honor to have Secretary Treasurer Ken Hall in our Raleigh Union Hall," said Local 391 President Mike McGaha, who began serving a second 3-year term on January 1 after winning re-election to his post in the fall. "Brother Hall is a friend, colleague, and a leader that I have the utmost respect for and I appreciate him taking the time to be part of our installation as Officers and Business Agents."
The swearing-in ceremony will symbolically mark the new terms for McGaha's team, which won re-election in October by a 64%-36% margin. McGaha will stay on as President of Local 391 for another 3-year term while Vernon Gammon continues as Secretary-Treasurer. Rick Armstrong is elevated to the position of Vice President while Rachel Eitzen continues as the Recording Secretary for Local 391. All four officers also serve in the roles of Business Agents representing members.
New Business Agent Jody Whitlock will focus on freight barns as Dave Foley officially begins a full-term after taking over for retiring Paris Ware in the fall.. Business Agent Keith McCorkle also sheds the "assistant" title in 2015 after being elected to his post.
Business Agents Wayne Gibbs and Chris Vaughn continue in their positions, along with Organizer Moses Darden. Local 391 also welcomes back Trustees Karen Matthews, JoCarolyn Wilkins, and Jimmy George.
