Notice of Election for Delegates to the IBT Convention
Updated On: Mar 16, 2026
Members of International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local Union 391 will soon receive ballots to vote in a mail-in election selecting delegates to represent the local at the union’s 2026 convention.
According to an official notice from the Election Supervisor, Teamsters Local 391 will elect 10 delegates and 10 alternate delegates to attend the 2026 IBT Convention, where members from across the country gather to set union policy and nominate candidates for international leadership.
Ballots will be sent to eligible members by mail and are expected to arrive by March 28, 2026. Voting will take place by secret mail ballot, and members may vote for no more than 10 delegate candidates and 10 alternate delegate candidates.
Voters have several options when completing their ballots. Members may vote for an entire slate of candidates, select a partial slate while adding individual candidates, or vote solely for individual candidates. However, the total number of votes for each category cannot exceed the number of positions being filled.
After completing the ballot, members must place it in the provided “Secrecy Sleeve,” seal the sleeve, and place it inside the return envelope. Voters are instructed not to write or place any identifying marks on the secrecy sleeve to ensure confidentiality. The return envelope contains a mailing label with the voter’s name and address that must remain visible for the ballot to be counted.
Completed ballots must be returned by U.S. Mail and received at the designated post office box no later than 9 a.m. on April 21, 2026.
Members who do not receive their ballot by March 28, or who need a replacement due to loss or error, may request a duplicate ballot by contacting Global Election Services by email at helpdesk@ibtvote.org or by phone at 877-455-9367. Members requesting a replacement must call personally and provide identifying information, including their name, current mailing address, the last four digits of their Social Security number, and a daytime phone number.
