Teamsters Local 391 kicked off the fall with its first membership meeting in Greensboro this past Saturday, September 13 since taking a summer break.  

President Mike McGaha used the membership meeting to give members an update on the activities of Teamsters Local 391 over the summer and to listen to members.  

"To be honest, I miss the membership meetings in the summer," said McGaha after the meeting.  "I love being with the stewards and the members and getting a face-to-face account of what is going on in the workplace."  

Mike said he expects his business agents and trustees, a practice he is committed to as President, to be in the field and reporting directly to him news and information, but there is something special about membership meetings.

"It is democracy at its best," said McGaha.  "Each and every member has the right to come to the microphone and tell me directly what is happening."

McGaha encourages everyone to committ to attending membership meetings, including the upcoming meeting in Raleigh at the Union Hall.
